Research: CAARP has conducted several on-station trial in collaboration with the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), now Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Nepal Agricultural Council (NARC), Nepal Agriculture Development Foundation (NARDEF), Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and several others. CAARP also has collaborated with international organizations such as AIT, WorldFish, Michigan State University and so on.
Internship: CAARP has also been a host for many intern students of then Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), now Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU). Students of other colleges and universities occasionally become interns to learn the technology and help the farm. CAARP is always open to students and scholars from any part of the world who would like to conduct practical and fruitful research using CAARP facility or simply assist in day-to-day work at CAARP. Outreach: CAARP has also implemented several small-scale aquaculture projects such as Women in Aquaculture (WiA) engaging the ethnic minority women of Tharu communities in collaboration with the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), now Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU). A project was also implemented to grow freshwater prawn polycultured with carps and tilapia. Another project popularly known as "Aquaculture without Frontiers (AwF)" was also implemented in other districts namely, Lamjung, Gorkha and Nawalparasi. The women of those districts learned small scale aquaculture from the CAARP farm with the women's group of the surrounding communities.
